SPECTRUM™ - System Security - AT Veterinary Systems


		SPECTRUM systems have several levels of security incorporated: AT Netservers are configured to a high degree of security with password protection into both operating system and SPECTRUM™. We choose UNIX servers to deliver reliability and a high level of protection from viruses, Trojans and worms. Automated backups to high capacity tape (or other media) and a monthly tape verification service ensures backup systems are working properly. User level security also protects the data held on the system as passwords are in place so that only authorised users can access certain SPECTRUM™ modules and facilities. An auto log-out function can be activated so in instances when a terminal is left unused for a certain amount of time, the system logs off that terminal.
