A special feature of SPECTRUM™ is that it can be used in either text or graphical modes so users have the choice depending on which method they prefer.

Using the text based interface, the system is entirely operated through the keyboard but using the graphical mode it can be instructed through the keyboard or by the use of a mouse - the graphical mode has ‘clickable’ buttons.

Graphical systems are inherently slower over dial-up connections as icons take longer to load than text. SPECTRUM™’s graphical interface is fast and efficient and runs much faster at branches than standard Windows software.

Using SPECTRUM™’s text interface the system runs at over ten times the speed when compared to Windows terminal server.

All this means that vets, nurses and receptionists can work faster and more efficiently and are not continually waiting for “screens to appear”.
