The Internet is an invaluable resource and through the Vision® Information System (VIS), as many practice staff as necessary can be safely connected to it.

Access to the Internet can be easily controlled and monitored so that staff cannot limitlessly surf the net. Using a server based 'firewall' (a type of security device to control access to the network) within the VIS also means

that connection to the Internet is safe.

E-mail is one of the most cost effective and quickest forms of communication and practices can send and receive e-mails through the VIS.

E-mails are an excellent business and marketing tool and can be used to send out messages to clients, or for members of practice staff to contact or leave messages

for one another. Users can also rest assured that the practice is well protected against unwanted computer viruses through the use of anti-virus software
